Separation anxiety - DannyDog - 02-08-2015

One of my friends had a work situation and needed to leave town for a couple of weeks. She brought her dog to my place and now I'm afraid I don't know how to deal with his sadness. The dog has been to our place before, but now he's really sad and eats very little. She will be back in about 10 days and I could use your advice! Sad

Try to keep the dog entertained, go on walks, stuff Kongs with food or scatter the kibble around the home and let the dog go on a treasure hunt. Play games. Usually, the first few days are the toughest, and the dog soon adjust within 3 days. I hope your friend's dog is doing better by now!
