Uti? Maybe?

Uti? Maybe?
We have an 8 month old fixed pit bull. She likes to play rough and jump off our tall bed. Thursday afternoon we noticed that she wouldn't get on the couch and walking up the stairs was difficult for her. We assumed that she pulled a muscle while playing or jumping off our bed that morning.

Saturday we were visiting some friends and she was being playful and attempted to run up their steps onto their porch. She yelped and sat on the ground licking at "girly parts". We realized that was very strange and would not indicate a pulled muscle. She doesnt lick herself a lot and since we noticed we have caught her doing it multiple times a day. A friend suggested UTI or kidney infection.

We are waiting for the vet to open tomorrow but don't have the money for all of the tests they will want to run (our vet is OVERPRICED but the best one around Dodgy) So - we just want to know if anyone has any experience with these symptoms and what the doc might prescribe if it is Uti/kidney infection.

A diagnosis for a UTI doesn't have to be excessively costly. All it takes is a urinalysis. You catch some urine in a sterile container and the vet tests it. Usually, this is the first test they do since UTI are som common. Otherwise they can collect a sample through an injection in the bladder. Many of my dogs had it, it could be the area burns and she licks to get comfort. Usually, you also see bloody urine.
