I found a white bump on my dog
Quote from Doglover273 on April 21, 2022, 3:04 pmHello I recently found a little white bump on my dog it was near her neck on her back. It is small but skinny and long just poking out of her fur. Lately she hasn't had much of an appetite, this is abnormal because she used to eat a lot, she also seems to not be as happy as she usually is. If anyone knows if this is a sign of cancer please let me know thank you.

Quote from Daisy on April 21, 2022, 3:05 pmIt's hard to say, even vets won't say what it is until they have a fine needle aspiration done and send out the sample to pathology to have it checked out. I would have her see a vet especially since you say she isn't eating as normally and is not acting as she used to. Any chance you can send a picture of what it looks like?

Quote from Jennifer on April 21, 2022, 3:06 pmDid this bump appear suddenly/ Are you sure the bump isn't a tick? If you get a magnifying glass, look closely and see if you see an wriggly legs. It often happens that a dog has a tick and it looks like a white bump. Another possibility is a skin tag. If your dog is acting sick, it may be an abscess and she may need an antibiotic to get better. As per cancer, to only way to know is by seeing the vet.
