Oral squamous cell carcinoma
Quote from endorium on May 2, 2022, 4:21 pmFound out today that my 10 year old labrodor has oral squamous cell carcinoma.
it was in the form of a small lump on its tonsil. It was found by accident was having a minor op on its tooth. The lump was removed and tested and had clean margins so it looks like they got the whole tumour amd foumd it early.I realise this is a very aggressive cancer and the vet said it will likely spread to the lymph glands.
a few optikns for further treatment but what would people recommend? Furtjer tests or operations? Vet said the dog may only have a few months but dont know if it has spread yet.

Quote from Daisy on May 2, 2022, 4:23 pmI am so sorry to hear your dog has been diagnosed with oral cancer. There's a group on Facebook about turmeric and how it works well for cancer in horses and dogs. I would join that group and look for the recipe called "golden paste." I would also look up Dr. Dressler's dog cancer blog for tips on making dietary changes and giving supplements to reinforce the immune system. Many people report adding months and even years with some of these changes. Best of luck to you and your dog.
And of course if your dog is taking any meds consult with your vet before giving any supplements.
