Dog Health Forums is a community of dog owners where you can discuss about anything pertaining health issues in dogs and puppies, get answers to your dog health questions and share thoughts with other pet owners about anything health related.
This forum is for dog owners seeking advice and suggestions on health-related issues. Please keep in mind that that advice on a public forum should never be used as a substitute for proper veterinary attention. Owners of dogs requiring immediate veterinary should not be posting here wasting time when every minute counts; rather they should be rushing to their vet. If you cannot afford veterinary care for your dog, seek out the help of vets that can take payments, or consult with any veterinary school or college facility that can help. Your local humane shelter or a local rescue organization may be able to help. Dog Health Forums Rules
These rules are subject to change at any time and there may be additional rules and guidelines posted in some of the sub-forums. Please familiarize yourself with these rules and follow them accordingly. Please visit our New Members Forum to get acquainted with other Dog Health Forums members.
1. The Dog Health Forums Staff reserves the right to edit, remove or alter any member's post, signature, and or user data at any time without notice. If you do not agree with this policy you are asked to please discontinue your membership at our forum.
2. Advertisements of dogs and puppies for sale are not allowed on this forum. This means any forms of ads posted for the purpose of selling puppies or adult dogs are prohibited and so are any advertisements and requests for breedings. Failure to abide to such rule will cause the post to be promptly removed and the forum user may be penalized and even permanently banned.
3. No spamming is allowed on Dog Health Forums. Avoid posting links to your site, either in your signature or in the body of the post, unless you obtain permission by the Forum Administrator. No form of soliciting of fund is allowed as well. Do not create a user name that redirects to another site.
4. Avoid using our Private Message system for the purpose of spamming/soliciting other users and our moderators and administrator. This will cause an immediate ban of your account.
5. Links in the signatures are only permitted for the purpose of credential verification. For example, if you are a vet, your signature may have a link to the hospital where you practice. Links to stores, personal blogs, and other websites will be disabled.
6. Trolling, posting pornographic content, illegal subject matter, drug related content, any other offensive materials along with posting insults, rants are strictly prohibited and may result in a permanent ban at the Moderators/Administrator’s discretion.
7. Disregarding an Administrator or a Moderator’s decision will result in punitive action at the discretion of the Moderators/Administrator.
8. Each Dog Health Forums member is responsible for his/her account regardless of compromised or stolen password. Registering again following a temporary or permanent ban may lead to a permanent 'no appeal' ban on all accounts you have created.
9. Forum members must respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, pictures etc. Re-printing material without permission may result in a warning and the post will be removed. If you want to post a link to a reputable website about health problems it will only be approved if quoted correctly and if the website is written by a vet, somebody that works or has worked for a vet or a veterinary organization. An acceptable way to quote is " According to the AVMA, dog vaccinations the use of, heartworm prevention and routine deworming are important components of wellness care"
10. When posting a new topic, members should use an appropriate, descriptive and specific title.
11. Hijacking threads and going off topic will result in infractions or bans at the Moderator’s discretion.
12. Look often under Announcements and General Rules located at the top of the forum’s sections so to find any new changes and upcoming events at the forums.
